  Finding Friends for Paintball Games

Paintball can be fun on your own, but nothing beats playing paintball with a bunch of friends. On the other hand, paintball is a sport that requires a commitment of time and funds to in order to have fun. Recruiting paintball team players can be difficult. One method for creating a group of paintball enthusiasts is to start small. For example, there are many similarities between laser tag and paintball, but laser tag is often cheaper and almost always takes less time. Start by inviting some people to a laser tag game. Renting paintball equipment is another way to help introduce friends to the sport. This lets your friends see how great paintball can be without having to buy all the equipment first. As you start out, make sure teaching others skills and having fun are your priorities, rather than winning the game. Giving your friends these initial fun experiences will interest them in progressing in the game; whereas if all your friends experience is being blown out of the water with a shutout, they will be unlikely to want to try the next time.

Similarities and Differences Between Paintball and Laser Tag

When thinking of team action, guns, and strategic warfare, one often thinks of either laser tag or paintball. Each of these sports has leagues and pro players. Though similar in basic skills and strategies, there are many differences between the two games. Laser tag is a very fast-paced, close-knit game within a confined area. Laser tag is also associated with smoke machines, strobe lights, and futuristic playing turfs. This is very different from the fields and forests upon which paintball is usually played. Many people credit paintball with being much more like real war, because actual shots are being fired. Paintball is even used by the military in their strategic training, which might have helped create a higher affiliation with real warfare. Whereas laser tag has high-intensity rapid firing and heavy music, paintballing can be stealthy, quiet, and intense.

Paintball Season

The best times of the year to enjoy the sport of paintball are in the spring and fall. You will not really have to worry about overheating or dehydration in these months. During the summer months, the appropriate gear and intensity that paintball requires can sometimes be a little bit much with the heat. If you do want to play paintball during the summer, try to schedule games early in the morning or in the evenings. As long as you plan ahead a little, paintball can really be played any time of the year. Where you live often determines the best times of the year for the sport. Just keep the weather in mind as you choose a field to play on and what clothing to wear.

What to Wear to a Paintball Game

There are some recommendations you may want to consider when it comes to clothing at a paintball game. If you are worried about bruising in a paintball game, you should wear thick pants and long sleeved shirt and or sweatshirt. If you want to be covert, wear dark clothing or clothing that blends into the scenery. Also, since your clothes will be covered in paint (and possibly mud and sweat), do not wear anything that you want to keep pristine. The most important thing is that you have fun. Wear comfortable clothes that you can run in.
